Started by NUS Enterprise in Singapore, the Entrepreneurial Link series aims to provide start-ups, venture investors, and corporate partners in key entrepreneurial hubs overseas and Singapore a bilateral platform for knowledge exchange and networking. With support from SEA Connect, we bring you the first forum in San Francisco to share about the opportunities in Southeast Asia. In 2016, a study conducted by Google and Temasek estimated that Southeast Asia’s internet economy will be worth at least US$200 billion by 2025. This makes Southeast Asia the world’s third largest region for internet users. It is no wonder why there is growing attention from investors, corporates, and entrepreneurs from all around the world, to be part of the opportunities and action in the region. However, many do not know that Southeast Asia is actually made up of 10 different countries, with diverse cultures, but also with similar problems around basic infrastructure, payments, and connectivity, just to name a few. Whether you are completely unfamiliar with the region, curious about the opportunities (and challenges) of operating in Southeast Asia, or are already ready to dive into this whirlwind adventure, this event is for you. We have assembled a panel of founders and investors with experience of starting and growing a business in various Southeast Asian markets to share their stories, and why Southeast Asia is the next growth frontier. You will also be able to network with other entrepreneurs and individuals who are familiar with Southeast Asia! Speakers: Moderated by Victor Tan, Director of SG-Innovate
